The 2 ***Cackling Geese*** were on the reserve machair this morning

The ***Cackling Goose*** is still with Barnacles to the south of the loch. 12 Iceland Gulls (including 3 adults) and 2 Glaucous Gulls (1 adult) were nearby at Rubh' Arnal

2 Iceland Gulls (adult + juvenile) and a juvenile Glaucous Gull were still on the beach this morning

The female ***Lesser Scaup*** and the drake Pochard were there again today

Weather: Wind S f3-4, bright, sunny and dry. Good visibility. Temp 5-6c.
A 2 hour seawatch this morning produced 1 Eider (N), 5 Common Scoters (4S 1N), 1 Red-throated Diver (N), 6 Gannets (5S 1N), and 36 Shag (7S 29N).
Also in the area were Greylag Goose 18, Shoveler 5 (3 males 2 females), Wigeon 37, Tufted Duck 2, Eider 23, Long-tailed Duck 5, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Great Northern Diver 2, Cormorant 40, White-tailed Eagle 1, Black-tailed Godwit 53, Common Gull 23, Great Black-backed Gull 8, Rock Dove 22, Peregrine 1, and Hooded Crow 12. A Little Egret was nearby at Loch Bornish
Comment:- Little sea movement but signs of spring with arrival of Black-tailed Godwits and Shoveler.
