Geese again on the move with circa 300 Barnacle Geese flying north over Carinish, North Uist and circa 250 high over Askernish, South Uist this morning and 1,500 Pink-feet were seen heading north in Ness. 5,000+ Barnacle Geese were at Balranald, North Uist and 250 Pink-feet flew north late afternoon

The ***Snowy Owl*** was seen on the island today

The two ***Cackling Geese*** were seen there today. Two Lapland Buntings and an immature Glaucous Gull were also there

The drake Scaup is still at Loch Mor
Loch Mor, Benbecula
The Little Egret and five Pintail were seen there today. A Pink-footed Goose was by Coot Loch and a Woodpigeon was in Nunton
West Gerinish, South Uist
Three Slavonian Grebes were in the SW corner of loch Bee

Weather: Wind N veering NE f2, mostly sunny, temp 1-4c
A three hour seawatchh this morning produced 627 Barnacle Geese (N), 20 Greenland White-fronted Geese (N), 4 Shelduck (N), 3 Eider (N), 1 Great Northern Diver (N), 57 Gannets (5S 52N), 2 Shag (N), 3 Cormorants (N), 8 Oystercatchers (N) and 5 auk sp (N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 2, Shelduck 3, Shoveler 3, Wigeon 43, Teal 8, Tufted Duck 17, Eider 16, Long-tailed Duck 8, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 11, Cormorant 32, Bar-tailed Godwit 14, Black-tailed Godwit 2, Purple Sandpiper 12, Hooded Crow 2, Wheatear 1, Pied Wagtail 1, Meadow Pipit 4
