My first Willow Warbler of the year was at Cuithir and the Kumlien's Gull was still around Borve. A female Pintail was at Caolas, Vatersay.

Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 11th April 2022. Updated throughout the day.

Loch Tiumpan, Isle of Lewis
A drake *Ring-necked Duck* was displaying to a Tufted Duck on the loch today. The Slavonian Grebe was still present and four Pink-footed Geese were feeding on the grassy bank.

Point football pitch, Isle of Lewis
2 Whimbrel were spooked by a pedestrian and flew towards Broad Bay.

Loch Branahuie, Isle of Lewis
There were 2 Shelduck and 36 Long-tailed Duck on the Loch.

Stornoway Harbour, Isle of Lewis
An Iceland Gull was present.

Leurbost, Isle of Lewis
A Chiffchaff was near the filling station late morning.

Northton, Isle of Harris
42 Barnacle Geese and 80 Pink-footed Geese flew over this morning.

Knockline, North Uist
2 Iceland Gulls were on the machair this morning

Locheport, North Uist
Plenty of goose activity here as well with 500 Pink-feet North seen flying north-west.

The Range, South Uist
28 Black-tailed Godwits were on the pools near LA2. A pair of Pintail were in the south-west corner of Loch Bee

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
66 Pink-footed Geese were seen there today and 50 Black-tailed Godwits were on Loch Ardvule. A Chiffchaff was at the point.

St. Kilda
An adult female ***Snowy Owl*** was present in Village Bay today
