This colour-ringed Black-tailed Godwit was on the beach at Aird an Runair, North Uist this morning.

Apart from that a Great Skua flew N and a Lapland Bunting was on the seaweed covered machair with Twite and a few Linnets.

Weather: Wind ESE f2 veering SSE f4. 8/8 high cloud. Temp 5C increasing to 8C.

Eider 8S, Red-breasted Merganser 1N, Red-throated Diver 1N, Fulmar 1S 3N, Manx Shearwater 8S 1N, Gannet 28S 42N, Shag 1N, Cormorant 2N, Kittiwake 1S 33N, Razorbill 3S, Razorbill/Guillemot 1S 43N, Black Guillemot 1S, White Wagtail 1S (had come in high off the sea from the west).

Also present in the area: Greylag Goose 5, Shoveler 1, Wigeon 5, Tufted Duck 8, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 4, Cormorant 12, Common Buzzard 1, Hooded Crow 2, Wheatear 1, Twite 2

On Barra Manx Shearwaters were moving south past Brevig this evening at a rate of c80 per hour. After a trip north, the Great Tit reappeared at Creachan again...this is turning out to be a well travelled bird!
 
A pale bellied brent goose past the beach at Bhaile Gharbaidh ( NW end of Sth Uist) heading SW, this afternoon with 8 black tailed godwits soon after.About 15 twite feeding on a manure heap on the edge of the dunes. 4 GN Diver offshore. Hen harriers displaying at L Druidibeg, and several others seen on the moorlands on the East side of the road between L Druidibeg and Daliburgh this pm.
