My first Spotted Flycatcher of the year was on Barra today along with an influx of House Martins. There was a minimum of 20 of the latter around the island including a flock of 12 at Garrygall; my highest ever count here. There are still decent numbers of Whimbrel on the machair, perhaps 60 or so today.
