The ****American Redstart**** is still to be found in the sycamore trees at the back of the Church, best viewed from behind the wall on south side of the churchyard

Loch Hallan, South Uist
A *Pectoral Sandpiper*, 3 *Buff-breasted Sandpipers* and 2 Ruff were seen around the loch today

Ness, Isle of Lewis
120 Pink-footed Geese seen arriving off the sea this afternoon

North Ford, North Uist
200 Pink-footed Geese seen this evening.

Baleshare, North Uist
A Lapland Bunting, 6 Pintail, circa 10 Ruff and 49 Black-tailed Godwits seen this morning.

Ness area, Lewis

Six Ruff and a Black-tailed Godwit present all day.

The Butt of Lewis
Some three hours of seawatching (am) produced 2 Sooty Shearwaters E-W and little else.

Borve
Flocks of 50, 90 and 110 Pink-footed Geese came in from NW & passed over Borve heading SE in the afternoon

Loch Shiabost (at Shawbost, c20 m SW of The Butt)
An adult *American Golden Plover* found by John Wozencroft in mid-afternoon with Golden Plovers, on a rocky seaweed-strewn part of the beach at the end of the track signed ‘To the shore’ (Map Ref NB 258 478). The bird was still there when I left at 6.00 pm. [Record shot below]

3 adult Whooper Swans were on mid Loch Ollay this morning and circa 100 Pink-footed Geese in 2 skeins flew south over Askernish this afternoon

In a visit to Teanamachar (Baleshare) this morning there were at least four Ruff and three Black-tailed Godwits (others were seen elsewhere on Baleshare) and I just managed a shot of the six Pintail as they headed N.

A White-tailed Eagle was watched by René at Bayhead today killing and eating a juvenile Herring Gull.
