Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 15th June 2019. Updated throughout the day

Islibhig, Isle of Lewis
2 Tree Sparrows were there today.

Counting period: 06:15 - 08:55
Weather: Wind ESE f4, mostly 8/8 cloud, very light drizzle gradually easing. Temp 10 - 11C

A near 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 6 Great Northern Divers (1S [adult], 5N [immatures]), 4 Fulmars (1S 3N), 84 Manx Shearwaters (3S 81N), 81 Gannets (19S 62N), 2 Shag (N), 5 Kittiwakes (2S 3N), 2 Arctic Skuas (1S 1N), 19 Razorbills (17S 2N) and 70 auk sp (36S 24N).
Also present in the area were Tufted Duck 9, Eider 12, Cormorant 7, Ringed Plover 9, Sanderling 4, Dunlin 9, Arctic Tern 10, Rock Dove 7, Sand Martin 6 and Pied Wagtail 1

Change in the air today with the first drake Mallards coming into eclipse and Black-headed Gulls starting to acquire their winter plumage already. 2 Whimbel still on the macahir and the drake Scaup is still at Frobost
