The small Canada Goose was again seen on the island in amongst the Barnacle Geese

Weather: Wind ESE F6 gusting F8, 8/8 cloud, light drizzle at times.

A 2.5 hour seawatch this morning produced 21 Whooper Swans (N), 1 Tufted Duck (N), 35 Eiders (24S 11N), 3 Long-tailed Ducks (1S 2N), 1 Red-throated Diver (S), 1 Great Northern Diver (S), 21 Gannets (12S 9N), 36 Shag (3S 33N), 1 Cormorant (S), 6 Herring Gulls (N) and 1 auk sp (N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 23, Mute Swan 3, Wigeon 42, Red-throated Diver 1, Great Northern Diver 2, Shag 24, Cormorant 18, Bar-tailed Godwit 9, Purple Sandpiper 1, Black-headed Gull 4, Common Gull 60, Great Black-backed Gull 6 and Herring Gull 85

A Mistle Thrush in the garden at Askernish this morning and later on a couple of Fieldfare. Apologies for the state of the photo; I only got one chance !

Once again no count but a good number of Iceland and Glaucous Gulls present at Rubh' Arnal, North Uist this morning. Also 29 pale-bellied Brent Geese (including the colour-ringed bird) and at least eight Pied Wagtails.

The ♂ Green-winged Teal that has been at Loch a' Roe recently was back on Loch Sandary today.
