On a rather damp morning visit to Aird an Runair, North Uist the Bonaparte's Gull was still present. A Ruff was seen by a visitor from South Wales at the camp site early in the morning.

Weather: Wind SW-SSW F4 occasional gust f5. 8/8 cloud, dull with increasing light rain. Temp 12.8C.

A near 4 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Red-throated Divers (S), 3 Great Northern Divers (S), 26 Storm Petrels (S), 29 Fulmars (S), 3 Sooty Shearwaters (S), 192 Manx Shearwaters (S), 124 Gannets (122S 2N), 1 Shag (N), 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull (S) and 1 Great Skua (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 115, Mallard 58, Tufted Duck 3, Cormorant 12, Common Buzzard 2, Whimbrel 1, Redshank 21, Peregrine 1, Raven 18, Pied Wagtail 3 and Rock Pipit 1
 
A two and a half hour seawatch on the west side of Vatersay during late afternoon produced c1200 Manx Shearwaters, 8 Sooty Shearwaters, 10 Common Scoters, 57 Whimbrel and c30 Black-tailed Godwits all going south.
