Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 17th November 2019. Updtated throughout the day

Baleshare, North Uist
A Snow Bunting flew north-west this morning. A drake Pintail and 2 Gadwall were at Illeray

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 07:55 - 10:20
Weather: Wind fluctuating NNW - N f3. Variable cloud becoming bright and sunny. Temp5.5 - 6.4C.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 5 Eider (4S 1N), 6 Long-tailed Ducks (2S 4N), 3 Red-breasted Mergansers (S), 3 Red-throated Divers (2S 1N), 2 Great Northern Divers (1S 1N), 3 Gannets (S), 59 Shag (4S 55N), 3 Cormorants (S), 1 Kittiwake (S) and 1 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Teal 16, Tufted Duck 23, Long-tailed Duck 3, Goldeneye 2, Red-throated Diver 2, Cormorant 4, Golden Eagle [juvenile] 1, Common Buzzard 2, Golden Plover 4, Curlew 8, Bar-tailed Godwit 14, Black-tailed Godwit 2, Redshank 22, Rock Dove 55, Peregrine 1, Hooded Crow 6, Raven 2, Rock Pipit 1
