Eyes and Ears Everywhere
Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 18th April 2022. Updated throughout the day.

Loch Tiumpan and Tiumpan Head, Isle of Lewis
The Slavonian Grebe and *Ring-necked Duck* still present on the loch. 63 Pink-footed Geese flew past to the north of lighthouse, quite low, in general direction of Tolsta. A light phase Skua species seen several times north of lighthouse.

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
2 Iceland Gulls were still to be found in the harbour area

Gramsdale, Benbecula
A Little Tern was seen there today

Stoneybridge, South Uist
The juvenile Glaucous Gull was still on the beach early afternoon

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
A sea watch from 07:10 to 10:05 produced the following:

Red-throated Diver 2 (S), Fulmar 47 (S) 7 (N), Manx Shearwater 48 (S), Gannet 83 (S) 12 (N), Shag 6 (S) 11 (N), Kittiwake 76 (S), Little Tern 1 (S), Arctic Tern 4 (S), Great Skua 1 (N), Arctic Skua 1 (S), Razorbill 9 (S), Black Guillemot 1(S), Puffin 1 (S).

Also present in the area: Greylag Goose 7, Wigeon 13, Teal 2, Tufted Duck 16, Eider 2, Great Northern Diver 2, Cormorant 22, Black-tailed Godwit 206, Black-headed Gull 55, Hooded Crow 1, Sand Martin 1, Pied Wagtail 3, Meadow Pipit 13, Twite 58
