Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 20th February 2019. Updated throughout the day

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:00 - 10:20
Weather: Wind S F6-7, 8/8 cloud, dull with light rain throughout. Temp 10C.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Eider (S), 3 Long-tailed Ducks (2S 1N), 4 Red-throated Divers (S), 3 Fulmars (S), 16 Gannets (10S 6N), 20 Shag (1S 19N), 1 Cormorant (S), 6 Razorbills (S) and 4 auk sp (3S 1N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 9, Wigeon 53, Tufted Duck 1, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Red-throated Diver 1, Great Northern Diver 4, Cormorant 17, Oystercatcher 74 and Hooded Crow 3
