How rare is Shoveler on Barra, has Stock Dove been seen on Harris, does Dotterel occur on Benbecula in the autumn, and how common is Blue Tit on North Uist? Well, fret no longer! Always Birding
The immature Iceland Gull and Glaucous Gull are still enjoying delving into all the seaweed at Ardivachar Point, South Uist, and were joined by the luecistic Common Gull today

On North Uist at Paiblesgarry today Peter Murray described a bird feeding on seeds with the sparrows in his garden this morning - of similar size and build as sparrows with thickish bill, reddish head and breast, brownish upperparts and flesh-coloured legs. Almost certainly a ♂ *Common Rosefinch* (there are not many Outer Hebrides records of birds in this plumage).

Also today the Glaucous Gull remains at Loch Sandary and a Swift flew S at Hougharry.
