Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 24th July 2019. Updated throughout the day

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:20 - 08:55
Weather: Wind S - SSE f2-3, 8/8 cloud initially, clearing with some sunshine later. Temp 17C.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 3 Red-breasted Mergansers (S), 1 Red-throated Diver (S), 130 Manx Shearwaters (122S 8N), 129 Gannets (125S 4N), 2 Shag (1S 1N), 6 Kittiwakes (S), 4 Black-headed Gulls (S), 1 Common Tern (S), 4 Arctic Terns (S), 1 Arctic Skua (S), 10 Razorbills (S) and 27 auk sp (12S 15N).
Also present in the area were Mallard 38, Common Buzzard 1, Ringed Plover 6, Curlew 4, Turnstone 4, Sanderling 1, Dunlin 160, Raven 5, Sand Martin 2 and Pied Wagtail 4
