Hawkeye

Eyes and Ears Everywhere
Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Leach's Storm Petrel - two flew past south this morning during a seawatch.

Also seen Eider (1S), Long-tailed Duck (3S), Red-breasted Merganser (1S), Red-throated diver (3S, 2N), Great Northern Diver (10S), Gannet (196S, 2N), Shag (3S, 4N), Cormorant (2N), Kittiwake (72S, 1N), Great Skua (1S), Guillemot (8S), Razorbill (13S), Razorbill/Guillemot (11S, 1N), Black Guillemot (2S).

The following birds were present in the area: Wigeon 64, Mallard 62, Teal 4, Tufted Duck 7, Cormorant 13, White-tailed Eagle 1, Lapwing 57, Snipe 1, Purple Sandpiper 8, Snow Bunting 1

South Glendale, South Uist
A Tree Sparrow and 6 Bramblings were in a garden.

Barra
In addition to Bruce's sightings below there were 350 Barnacle Geese and a Wheatear at Borve, a Coal Tit at Nasg. Bramblings were also reported at Ardmhor and North Bay.

The yellow-browed warbler was still by the football pitch at Castlebay today. A migrant woodpigeon was at Garrygall. There were still five or 6 chiffchaffs and blackcaps around Barra along with c25 bramblings. Several thousand redwings were still present, mainly on the machair on the west side of the island.
