A Little Egret was just N of Sollas township, North Uist early this afternoon.

In the late afternoon Joan MacInnes phoned to say she had taken a photo of an all white heron-like bird with a yellow bill that was by the cattle on her croft at Stoneybridge, South Uist. From her description undoubtedly a Cattle Egret and presumably the same bird that was present at Daliburgh on the 21st.

A large arrival of Redwings on Barra today, roughly 800 birds around the island. The small Canada Goose was still on Borve Point with c150 Barnacle Geese. Around 15 Chiffchaffs and 5 Blackcaps were still around the island.
