The drake *Ring-necked Duck* was on the loch again early afternoon along with 4 Black-tailed Godwits. A Ruff was seen nearby on Loch Fada

A single Pink-footed Goose was there this morning

30+ Whimbrel and 72 very smart looking summer plumage Golden Plover were on the machair at Askernish this morning. 2 Moorhen (possibly a pair) were on the golf club pond which is a rare sight and 3 Common Sandpipiers were around Loch Hallan. A gathering of 20+ Curlew and 50 Golden Plover were at Orasay while another 26 Whimbrel and 2 Whooper Swans were at Garrynamonie. 4 pair of Shoveler and a Common Sandpiper were at Eilean nan Ramh, Dalibrough

A female Blackcap was in the garden late this evening

There was a Tree Sparrow at Caolas, Vatersay this afternoon. Surprisingly it was feeding on the beach among the piles of rotting seaweed with the waders and White Wagtails. Not typical Tree Sparrow habitat!
