Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 28th April 2022. Updated throughout the day

Butt of Lewis
60 Pink-footed Geese flew north-west. A Swallow, 8 Whimbrel and 4 Wheatear were also in the area

Loch Barvas, Isle of Lewis
A juvenile Glaucous Gull was at the NW end of the loch early afternoon

Loch an Tiumpan, Isle of Lewis
The drake *Ring-necked Duck* was again seen on the loch this morning

Loch Branahuie, Isle of Lewis
The single Pink-footed Goose was again present amongst 20+ Greylags and 4 Sand Martins were there this morning

Balranald, North Uist
The male Garganey was again seen on Loch nam Feithean this morning. 5 Whimbrel were also on the reserve

Loch Sandary, North Uist
A second calander-year Iceland Gull and 5 Black-tailed Godwits were there this evening

Baleshare, North Uist
The 5 Dotterel were again to the north-east of the beach car park. Circa 10 Whimbrel and a Black-tailed Godwit were also on the island

Carnan, South Uist
A Siskin was visiting a garden there

Frobost, South Uist
46 Whimbrel were on the machair this afternoon
 
Barra
Hawfinch at Creachan this afternoon, possibly the same bird seen visiting a garden at Skallary this morning. Single Bramblings were at Creachan and Bruernish. A Whooper Swan was on the sea off Ardmhor.
