3 *Buff-breasted Sandpipers* on the north shore this morning. (See MisterT's post below)

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist

A 4.5 hour seawatch early this morning produced 1 Red-throated Diver, 43 Fulmars (39S 4N), 13 Sooty Shearwaters (S), 812 Manx Shearwaters (746S 66N), 934 gannets (926S 8N), 2 Shag (S), 3 Kittiwakes (S), 1 *Sabine's Gull* (S - juvenile), 1 Arctic Tern (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 2 Arctic Skuas (S), 1 Guillemot (S) and 1 Black Guillemot. Also present in the area was 1 Red-throated Diver and a Wheatear.

Loch Bornish continues to be attractive to visiting waders with 3 *Buff-breasted Sandpipers* found there today. Also around the loch were 12+ Ruff, 32+ Black-tailed Godwits, 43 Curlew a Whimbrel and a Knot.

At Ormiclate there were another 38 Black-tailed Godwits and 4 Ruff while another 46 Black-tailed Godwits on the machair at Frobost. Kildonan still held the highest count with 288 Black-tailed Godwits and 5 Ruff including an adult male on the flooded fields.

Seawatching off Cleat, Barra this evening produced at least 27 sooty shearwaters, 1 arctic skua, 7 great skuas, 2 arctic terns, 10 whimbrel plus around 1500 manx shearwaters per hour heading south.
