Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 28th May 2019. Updated throughout the day

Tiumpan Head, Isle of Lewis
A single Snow Bunting was seen around the lighthouse this morning

Eochar, South Uist
A Little Egret was seen off Hebridean Jewellery this morning.

West Gerinish, South Uist
A pair of Garganey were seen in the south west corner of Loch Bee

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 05:50 - 09:10
Weather: Wind NNE backing N F3, initially 7/8 cloud, becoming sunny. Temp 6 - 9C.

A 3+ hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Red-throated Divers (1S 1N), 2 Great Nothern Divers (N), 64 Fulmars (1S 63N), 1 Manx Shearwater (N), 152 Gannets (11S 141N), 24 Kittiwakes (N), 1 Great Skua (N), 14 Guillemots (N), 82 Razorbills (N) and 395 auk sp (24S 371N).
Also present in the area were Eider 14, Cormorant 7, Arctic Tern 12, Rock Dove 6, Sand Martin 8 and Wheatear 1

There was a Tree Sparrow in my garden at Brevig briefly this evening. There was apparently no sign of the Purple Heron today at Loch an Ali.
