Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 29th November 2019. Updated throughout the day

Berneray
49 Common Scoters were off the west side of of the island. A pale-bellied Brent Goose was amongst the Barnacle Geese and 6+ Snow Buntings were also seen on the island

Loch Paible, North Uist
A flock of circa 30 Snow Buntings flew south at dusk

Clachan, South Uist
The Little Egret was again there this morning

Knockintorran, North Uist
The adult white morph Snow Goose was there again this morning. The two ***Cackling Geese*** were also seen nearby amongst the Barnacle Geese at Balemore

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:25 - 11:20
Weather: Wind NE f3, mix of sunny spells and light showers, temp 3.3 - 4C

A 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Shelduck (N), 4 Eider (1S 3N), 2 Long-tailed Ducks (N), 12 Red-throated Divers (N), 5 Gannets (3S 2N), 102 Shags (15S 87N), 5 Cormorants (2S 3N) and 1 Black-headed Gull (N).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 49, Tufted Duck 8, Eider 12, Long-tailed Duck 79, Goldeneye 2, Red-breasted Merganser 6, Red-throated Diver 26, Great Northern Diver 7, Cormorant 8, White-tailed Eagle 2, Golden Plover 3, Ringed Plover 16, Bar-tailed Godwit 29, Turnstone 24, Sanderling 22, Dunlin 3, Purple Sandpiper 27, Redshank 5, Hooded Crow 6, Raven 2 and Rock Pipit 1
