The Little Egret was seen there again today
Iochar, South Uist
4 Pale-bellied Brent Geese and 176 Grey Plover were seen on the mud flats by Hebridean Jewellery. A female Goosander was nearby in the south-west corner of Loch Bee.
Bornish, South Uist
A Turtle Dove was seen by the large green barn on Bornish machair late in the afternoon. 2 Little Egrets were again on Loch Bornish
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 07:20 - 09:50
Weather: Wind WSW F6 gust f8. 8/8 cloud, dull with occasional light rain. Temp 10.5C
A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 1 Eider, (N), 5 Red-throated Divers (S), 401 Gannets (396S 5N), 3 Shag (N), 1 Cormorant (S), 7 Bar-tailed Godwits (N), 2 Kittiwakes (S), 3 Common Gulls (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 1 Razorbill (S), and 2 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 42, Red-throated Diver 2, Cormorant 3, White-tailed Eagle 1, Lapwing 9, Ringed Plover 16, Curlew 3, Bar-tailed Godwit 4, Skylark 1, Wheatear 1 and Twite 3
