Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 2nd February 2019. Updated throughout the day

Borve, Berneray
A Pink-footed Goose was seen on the machair. A Lesser Black-backed Gull was also reported as being present on the island

Ardmhor, Barra
The *White-billed Diver* and 23 Slavonian Grebes were offshore today

Traigh Mhor, Barra
The 3w Glaucous Gull was there today and 33 Snow Buntings were nearby at Eoligarry.

Vatersay
57 Black-throated Divers were off the east side of the island

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:25 - 11:00
Weather: Wind NNE veering E then ESE F3-2, mostly sunny with little cloud. Temp -4C to 3C.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 5 Long-tailed Ducks (2S 3N), 4 Red-breasted Mergansers (3S 1N), 13 Red-throated Divers (3S 10N), 10 Gannets (N), 10 Shag (6S 4N), 6 Cormorants(S), 1 Guillemot (S). 2 Razorbills (S) and 1 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 3, Shelduck 3, Wigeon 170, Mallard 60, Teal 4, Tufted Duck 15, Long-tailed Duck 18, Red-breasted Merganser 5, Red-throated Diver 4, Great Northern Diver 4, Cormorant 5, Hen Harrier 1 [adult male], White-tailed Eagle 2 [juvenile + sub adult], Common Buzzard 1, Lapwing 70, Golden Plover 60, Jack Snipe 1, Snipe 6, Rock Dove 48 and Raven 2
