With 27 Golden Plover on the machair at Askernish, could this be the start of autumn migration? 2 Swifts were also over Loch Hallan this afternoon

6 Black-tailed Godwits on the machair north of Barra airport this morning would point to the answer to Mr T's question as yes, autumn migration has begun! The 2cy Iceland Gull was still at Craigston, hanging around the roof tops in the township this afternoon.
