The northerly gale made for hard going on Barra today. Single Pink-footed Geese were grounded at Eoligarry and Cleat while the parvipes Canada Goose was still on Borve Point and a House Martin was at Brevig.

As with Bruce on Barra, birding was hard work in the gales today. 140+ Whooper Swans were distributed across three lochs in Askernish and Frobost this morning.
