Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 4th July 2019. Updated throughout the day

Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist

Weather: Wind WSW F4-5, 8/8 cloud. Temp 13C.

A near 3 hour seawatch this morning produced 2 Red-throated Divers (1S 1N), 2 Storm Petrels (S), 2 Fulmars (S), 20 Manx Shearwaters (27S 3N), 76 Gannets (14S 62N), 2 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 4 Razorbills (S), 6 Puffin (S) and 13 auk sp (9S 4N).
Also present in the area were Shelduck 8, Cormorant 12, Common Buzzard 1, Curlew 1, Dunlin 5, Common Gull 121, Great Black-backed Gull 5, Lesser Black-backed Gull 1, Arctic Tern 20, Sand Martin 17, Starling 165, Wheatear 3, Pied Wagtail 2, Meadow Pipit 3 and Twite 9
