Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 5th March 2021. Updated throughout the day

Tiumpan Head, Isle of Lewis
Two immature Iceland (2CY + 3CY) Gulls were on the gull roost this morning. An Iceland Gull also flew past early afternoon and another was on Loch na Tiumpan later, possibly the same two birds.

Committee Road, North Uist
Short-eared Owls would appear to be returning with 3+ seen there today

Sollas, North Uist
A single Snow Bunting and pink-footed Goose were on the machair
