Port of Ness, Isle of Lewis
A juvenile *Common Rosefinch* was seen this morning in the garden of the old Post Office (with House Sparrows). [see post below]

Cliasmol, Isle of Harris
A male Blackcap which has been present in a garden there for a week was joined by a female today

Liniclate, Benbecula
A juvenile *American Golden Plover* was seen flying south this morning. A Pink-footed Goose was nearby on Borve machair and another 2 were at Loch Mor

North Locheynort, South Uist
13 redpolls, a Fieldfare and a Blackcap were seen there today

South Glendale, South Uist
2 Blackcaps and a Brambling were in a garden there

With no wind, I took the opportunity to do some ringing in the garden.
After four hours they had caught one bird - not a bad one though.
I hadn't seen this Common Rosefinch before I caught it......

News from Tony Marr at Ness

No further sign of the juvenile Common Rosefinch this afternoon. The attached picture was one of several taken in the morning.

Also at Port of Ness today:
Whooper Swan – a family party (4 juvs) passed over the village at (11.05) and headed on down coast to SE
Common Rosefinch – juv in garden of 16 Port of Ness (11.05) to (11.20) flew off with House Sparrows
Brambling – one among a mixed flock of House Sparrows, Greenfinches, one Linnet and 12 Twite
Redwing – six
Chiffchaff – one

North Uist: in the garden of Callernish House this morning were a couple of Chiffchaffs and a flock of 11 Common Redpoll.

The Little Egret that has been around since late September was seen by Fergus Granville last week near the Committee Road.
