Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
A seawatch today 07:05 -> 09:30
Weather: Wind ESE - SE f3-4. Early cloud thinning to bright and sunny conditions.

Barnacle Geese 379N, Whooper Swans 7N, Red-throated Diver 1N, Gannet 8S 9N, Shag 2N, Cormorant 6N, Razorbill 3S, Meadow Pipit

Also present in the area: Greylag Goose 3, Shelduck 12, Shoveler 1, Wigeon 37, Tufted Duck 9, Eider 14, Long-tailed Duck 1, Red-breasted Merganser 5, Red-throated Diver 2, Great Northern Diver 14, Shag 6, Cormorant 21, Black-tailed Godwit 5, Turnstone 60, Razorbill 1, Skylark 2, Wheatear 1, Pied Wagtail 1, Meadow Pipit 4, Twite 2

Bornish, South Uist
Chiffchaff and male Blackcap in a garden today. 170 Barnacle Geese and flock of c70 Pinkfeet flew over NW around lunchtime.

South Glendale, South Uist
A small flock of Pink-footed Geese were heard heading north before it got light and later there were 3 Siskins in a garden there.

Loch Branahuie, Isle of Lewis
A juvenile Glaucous Gull was seen east of the loch this morning.

Scanning the sea off the east side of Vatersay this evening produced 6 Black-throated Divers, 173 Great Northern Divers and around 600 Eiders. Also many hundreds of Guillemots and Razorbills. There were 3 Willow Warblers on Barra.

Drake scaup at Coot Loch, with 47 wigeon and 9 Gadwall, 3 little grebe,and one moorhen. Offshore from Borve 2 Bonxie Nth, 120 turnstone,3 GN Diver, 2 long tailed duck, 77 barnacle geese nth, 250 golden plover and an otter close inshore. At L Druidibeg this evening a pair of hen harrier, short eared owl and a greenshank. At least 3 buzzards, including a pair copulating. 2 distant red throated divers flying over callling.

A large flock (at least 500) of Pink-footed Geese passed over Claddach-vallay, North Uist high up at 11.10 hours. It is fairly unusual to get such a large number over North Uist, most pass over Ness in the spring.
