Wood Pigeons in Stornoway.

We have been noticing a lot of dead Wood pigeons in and around the Stornoway Castle grounds the last couple of weeks, I suspected Buzzards, all of them had their heads bitten off!
However, spoke to somebody yesterday who had witnessed one fall out of a tree and land on the ground in front of him, he reckoned there must be a virus or disease affecting them!
He told me the local vet who was going to conduct an autopsy to find out what the cause Was. Will report back when I find out something.
