Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:20-10:40
Weather: Wind SSW f6-7, mostly rain with some brighter spells. Temp 7-9C.

A 4+ hour seawatch this morning produced 1 Common Scoter (S), 2 Red-throated Divers (S), 4 Storm Petrels (S), 52 Fulmars (S), 2 Sooty Shearwaters (S), 508 Manx Shearwaters (S), 313 Gannets (312S 1N), 10 Kittwakes (S), 2 Great Skuas (S), and 7 Black Guillemots (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 150, Tufted Duck 5, White-tailed Eagle 1, Golden Plover 1, Whimbrel 2, Turnstone 25, Snipe 1, Black-headed Gull 1, Herring Gull 90, Sand Martin 5, Wheatear 2, Pied Wagtail 2 and Meadow Pipit 9

A big movement of Manx Shearwaters off the west side of Barra and Vatersay today. An hours watch from Vatersay early afternoon produced 2600 Manx plus 4 Sooty Shearwaters going south along with 3 Great Skuas and c40 Kittiwakes.
