The small Canada Goose was again on the machair ther

Counting period: 08:15 - 10:50
Weather: Wind WSW f4-5 backing SSW and easing, 7/8 cloud, occasional light shower. Temp 6C.

A 2+ hour seawatch this morning produced 35 Eider (S), 5 Long-tailed Ducks (S), 15 Red-throated divers (14S 1N), 7 Great Northern Divers (S), 12 Gannets (S), 58 Shag (2S 56N), 9 Purple sandpipers (1S 8N), 11 Kittiwakes (S), 23 Common Gulls (S), 2 Black Guillemots (S) and 1 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 9, Wigeon 52, Teal 2, Tufted Duck 6, Goldeneye 1, Red-throated Diver 1, Great Northern Diver 5, Cormorant 19, Bar-tailed Godwit 12, Snipe 2, Hooded Crow 7, Raven 2 and Rock Pipit 3

On Barra the White-billed Diver was still off Eoligarry this morning, 28 Snow Buntings were on the beach and a Common Scoter was offshore. At Traigh Mhor the Brent Goose flock was down to 18 birds.
