Two Crossbills were seen in the Castle grounds this morning

Weather: Wind SSW f6-7, mostly bright and sunny. Temp 12-13c.

A 7+ hour seawatch today produced 4 Red-throated Divers (S), 1 Great Northern Diver (N), 18 Fulmars (17S 1N), 97 Manx Shearwaters (96S 1N), 275 Gannets (271S 4N), 2 Shag (N), 9 Kittiwakes (S), 1 Great Skua (S), 5 Guillemots (S), 1 Razorbill (S), 1 Black Guillemot (S) and 24 auk sp (S).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 8, Shelduck 3, Mallard 25, Teal 1, Tufted Duck 5, Eider 5, Red-breasted Merganser 1, Cormorant 14, Turnstone 3, Sanderling 7, Black-headed Gull 9, Rock Dove 1, Sand Martin 26, Pied Wagtail 1, Rock Pipit 2

There was a Rosy Starling in a private garden where I was working at Bruernish today, at least the 3rd individual on Barra so far this month.
