How rare is Shoveler on Barra, has Stock Dove been seen on Harris, does Dotterel occur on Benbecula in the autumn, and how common is Blue Tit on North Uist? Well, fret no longer! Not much was moving N in a half hour late morning seawatch at Aird an Runair, North Uist - a few Gannets and ten Kittiwakes. An Iceland Gull flew past a bit later (another was in the bay opposite the RSPB visitor centre on my return) and a flock of at least 15 Snow Buntings were seen briefly.

The four Pintail (one ♂) are still on Loch nam Feithean.

At Cleat, Barra this morning an adult and 2nd winter glaucous gull were offshore and the 2 Greenland white-fronts were still on the fields. Nearby the single pink-footed goose was with greylags still at Allasdale. This afternoon at Traigh Mhor 37 snow buntings were by the airport buildings and 2 brent geese were on the beach. Yesterday there was a woodpigeon near Northbay; my first on the island for a couple of months.

There were 40+ Barnacle Geese on the west bank of Loch Bee early afternoon while only 6 Greenland White-fronts were seen in the same area. Here at Askernish, a solitary Fieldfare was in the township
