Always Birding
18 Black-tailed Godwits were in the SW corner of Loch Bee this morning with just 16 Greenland White-fronts seen on the west bank. An Iceland Gull was on the pools by LA2. 28 Barnacles were at Ardkenneth, a Little Egret was at Clachan and 4 Slavonian Grebes were offshore at Balgarva. The Lesser Scaup was on Coot Loch as was a drake Pintail.

4 Fieldfares were at Grogarry Lodge amongst Redwing, another 6 were at Drimsdale and a drake Goosander was on Loch Altabrug. The 2 adult female Lesser Scaup and the Coot were again in the northern arm of West Loch Ollay, and another Little Egret and 14 Barnacle Geese were at Corran Ormaclete. The Slavonian Grebe was still on Loch Bornish.

Whooper Swans were much in evidence with the highest count being 58 the floods on Bornish machair. Meadow Pipit were also much more commonplace.
