Barra.
A big arrival of Pink-footed Geese from late afternoon. C590 were on the airport beach, clearly exhausted. In the hour before dusk a further 1200 or so arriving in off the sea past Brevig. Interestingly these were arriving from the south and south-east. Also today the 2 Blue-winged Teals reappeared at Eoligarry after a 9 day absence. Quite where they've been in the intervening period is a mystery. It also raises the question of just how many BWT have there been on the Hebs this autumn? At least 1 Pied Flycatcher was still on the island and 2 Pale-bellied Brents were at the airport.
