Tiumpan Head, Isle of Lewis
A Great Skua flew west this morning and two Greylag Geese were seen to come in over the Minch before continuing north. A second winter Iceland Gull was nearby at Loch na Tiumpan

Askernish, South Uist
Circa 200 Whooper Swans were seen flying north early this morning

Rubha Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 08:20-10:25
Weather: Wind WSW f2-3, 8/8 cloud, very dull, drizzle setting in by 09:45. Temp 8C

A two hour seawatch this morning produced 4 Red-breasted Mergansers( S), 1 Shag (N), 1 White-tailed Eagle (N), 3 Kittiwakes (S), 18 Great Black-backed Gulls (S), 26 Herring Gulls (S) and 1 Sandwich Tern (Sleeping on small island 08:30 before flying NE 09:03).
Also present in the area were Greylag Goose 5, Mute Swan 2, Shelduck 2, Wigeon 54, Teal 6, Tufted Duck 2, Eider 32, Red-breasted Merganser 2, Great Northern Diver 1, Cormorant 47, Bar-tailed Godwit 22, Black-tailed Godwit 11, Turnstone 55, Purple Sandpiper 1, Snipe 1, Redshank 18, Black-headed Gull 19, Lesser Black-backed Gull 2, Hooded Crow 6, Raven 2, Pied Wagtail 1 and Meadow Pipit 1. 136 Whooper Swans were feeding on the machair nearby.

Soggy chiffchaff in my Bornish garden today.

Little egret seen flying into Oban Liniclate from nr the Dark Island hotel.

c400 whoopers, female ruff & 4 blackwits on the West side/SW corner of Loch Bee.
