Thankfully the heavy rain showers forecast for this morning did not materialize and in a F6 WNW wind the following were seen flying SW off Aird an Runair, North Uist (09.20-11.20 hours). Viewing position not ideal for using a 'scope and I undoubtedly missed a few things: 558 Gannets (118 juveniles), 1 Fulmar, 1 Sooty Shearwater, 3 Manx Shearwaters, 6 Red-throated Divers, 1 Great Northern Diver, 11 Golden Plover, 31 Kittiwakes, 1 Arctic Tern, 67 Guillemots/Razorbills (most were probably Razorbills) and 1 Black Guillemot.
A juvenile Curlew Sandpiper was on the beach together with two juvenile Little Stints.
