How rare is Shoveler on Barra, has Stock Dove been seen on Harris, does Dotterel occur on Benbecula in the autumn, and how common is Blue Tit on North Uist? Well, fret no longer! Clearly a few new migrants around today. There was a small arrival of Chiffchaffs and at least 2 Willow Warblers and a Garden Warbler. The Pied Flycatcher and Ring Ouzel were still at Creachan, the Treecreeper remained at Castlebay and a Fieldfare was at Glen. Yellow-browed Warblers were everywhere, maybe 50-60 around the island. A Short-eared Owl, scarce on Barra was at Bruernish.
