Found on the 14th May: she flew and I got such a surprise I was unsure what the bird was. She was smallish and my first thought was a grouse. Beautiful nest well hidden and I am now thinking Teal ?

Bill, looks very much like Teal. I found a nest in the marsh here a few years ago and when I checked a week or so later the ♀ was off the nest and the eggs had been covered in down. Only realized this was usual behaviour when I looked it up in BWP.
