Balranald, North Uist
The Quail was again heard singing near the camp site this afternoon
Baleshare, North Uist
A 2CY Glaucous Gull flew north-west along the shore this morning
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
Counting period: 06:30 - 10:00
Weather: Wind S F3, 8/8 cloud and misty spells at first, gradually clearing with sunny spells. Temp 14C.
A 3+ hour seawatch this morning produced 5 Red-breasted Mergansers (S), 2 Red-throated Divers (S), 4 Storm Petrels (S), 6 Fulmars (S), 72 Manx Shearwaters (S), 114 Gannets (51S 64N), 1 Shag (N), 2 Kittiwakes (S), 6 Little Terns (N), 2 Common Terns (S), 3 Great Skuas (S), 12 Razorbills (S), 16 Puffins (S) and 10 auk sp (7S 3N).
Also present in the area were Cormorant 4, Common Buzzard 2, Ringed Plover 15, Arctic Tern 15, Raven 4, Sand Martin 2, Wheatear 2, Pied Wagtail 1, Meadow Pipit 4 and Twite 7
