Always Birding
There were 2 Black-tailed Godwits on the machair at Frobost and another on the beach along with a Bar-tailed Godwit. As with other waders, Curlews seem to be gathering with a group 50+ also on the machair. 2 Whimbrel were at Peninerine.

The long staying Iceland Gull is still finding Kildonan/Glas Roe to it's liking

On North Uist along the track on the W side of Ben Risary plantation there weren't that many species seen or heard this morning (probably due to the lateness of the hour and the weather conditions). Sightings included a recently fledged Hen Harrier, a Woodpigeon (this species colonised here less than 10 years ago) and a couple of Siskins. This species appears to have had a successful breeding season with juveniles regularly at feeders in nearby gardens of Vallay and Kincraig Cottage.
