34 Black-tailed Godwits were there this morning

39 Grey Plover were seen there today

Seawatch: 07:05-09:00
Weather: Wind W f6 gust f7-8, bright and sunny throughout watch. Temp 12c.

A 2 hour seawatch this morning produced 3 Red-throated Diver 1(S) 2(N), 1 Storm Petrel (S), 3 Fulmar (S), 343 Manx Shearwater (S), 117 Gannet 109(S) 8(N), 3 Kittiwake (S), 3 Arctic Tern (S), and 1 Arctic Skua (S)
Also in the area were: White-tailed Eagle 2, Curlew 2, Snipe 1, Black-headed Gull 4, Raven 1, Pied Wagtail 5, and Twite 2

The newly mown fields around Ormiclate Castle, South Uist held c300 Golden Plover, 158 Black-tailed Godwits, 61 Shipe and a Ruff this morning, the majority being on one field.

A seawatch off Aird a Chaolais from 8.30 until 11am produced 43 Sooty Shearwaters, c2500 Manx Shearwaters and 2 Great Skuas.
Barra
A seawatch off Borve from 1.30 until 4pm produced a Balearic Shearwater going south at 2.55pm plus 9 Sooty Shearwaters, c1800 Manx Shearwaters, 3 Whimbrel, 2 Purple Sandpipers and a trickle of Lesser Black-backed Gulls all going south. At least 7 Sooty Shearwaters and 2 flocks of Whimbrel totalling 25 birds past Brevig in the past hour.
