There was a hawfinch on Vatersay this morning around the township, apparently for its second day. On Barra the night heron was still at Garrygall where a male lesser whitethroat was new in along with 3 common whitethroats. The sum plum white-billed diver was again off Eoligarry around high tide. Numbers of arctic terns, sedge warblers and wheatears seem to have increased since yesterday.

Only 56 Whimbrel were to be found here at Askernish today while Sanderling numbers remained at 400+. 2 Whooper Swans were on Loch Hallan along with the single Black-tailed Godwit. The male Siskin is still visiting my garden and 2 House Martin were seen briefly this afternoon.
