Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 7th April 2023. Updated throughout the day.

Skigersta, Isle of lewis
A *White-billed Diver* was seen there late afternoon. 11 skeins of Pinkfeet, the largest being 240, 3 small groups Greenland Whitefront (8,6 and 4), and 48 Barnacle passed over Port Nis during the day. 2 Chiffchaff and a Blackcap were in gardens there

Balranald, North Uist
A 2cy Glaucous Gull and a 3cy Iceland Gull are at Traigh Iar this morning

Rubh' Arnal, North Uist
At least 7 Iceland Gulls were there late morning

Stinky Bay, Benbecula
The adult Iceland Gull was seen there again today

South Glendale, South Uist
270 Barnacle Geese and 7 White-fronted Geese flew north today

Always Birding
Geese on the move high over Locheynort with c700 Barnacle and 47 Greenland White-fronts passing NW early morning. The only other bird of note was a Woodpigeon. At least 2 Common Redpolls were in the garden here at Askernish late morning and a Swallow was around the township early evening
