Aird an Runair, North Uist
3 Long-tailed Skua and 2 Pomarine Skua seen between 1430 - 1500. The adult Glaucous Gull was again seen on the approach road to the Balranald reserve
Ruhba Arnal, North Uist
A single male Dotterel seen from the track there early evening
Ruhba Ardvule, South Uist
A 5 hour sea watch this morning produced 200 Fulmar (194S 6N), 12 Manx Shearwaters (11S 1N), 128 Gannet (109S 19N), 129 Kittiwake (S), 11 Guillimots (S) and 58 Razorbills (S). The Kumlien's Gull also present in the area

A second day with few new arrivals, but among them a welcome scarcity on Lewis:
Iceland Gull – 2 juvs. at the roadside pool at the Butt (pm)
Black Tern – a breeding plumage bird at the north end of Loch Stiapavat all afternoon and evening, found by Jack Ibbotson (RSPB) (photo by Samantha Hawkins)
Whimbrel – 10 on the Lionel-Eoropie machair
House Martin – still 6 at Loch Stiapavat
