Western Isles / Outer Hebrides bird sightings for today, 18th February 2023. Updated throughout the day

Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
An adult Iceland Gull was in the harbour area early afternoon. 80 Common Scoter, 60 Great Northern Divers and 180 Eider were in Broad Bay

Rubh Arnal, North Uist
7 Iceland Gulls (adult, 4cy, 3cy + 4 x 2cy) and a 3cy Glaucous Gull were there today. Also present in the area were 19 Snow Buntings and 39 pale-bellied Brent Geese

Baleshare, North Uist
A ***Cackling Goose*** and 12 Fieldfares were seen there today

Peninerine, South Uist
A single Glaucous Gull and the Viking Gull (Glaucous x Herring Gull hybrid) were there again today

West Loch Ollay, South Uist
The female ***Lesser Scaup*** was seen there again today

Daliburgh, South Uist
24 Snow Buntings were seen on beach today

The Harlequin Duck was still just south of Traigh Eais this morning, roosting on rocks and showing superbly. 22 Fieldfares were at Cuithir.
