The 1st-summer Little Gull was seen this evening. A male Ruff seen today and another nearby on Loch Fada.

The Tree Sparrow is still present and a Lesser Whitethroat seen today

Just over two hour seawatch today. Sightings included Gannets (73S, 27N), Kittiwakes (22S), Great Skua (1N), One Arctic Skua was also present.

Minimal movement today, but a surprise in the tail.
Pink-footed Geese – 4 still present at Loch Stiapavat
Shoveler – drake there now joined by a duck
Gadwall – drake still present there
Whimbrel – still 15 on the Lionel-Eoropie machair
Black-tailed Godwit – 2 at Loch Stiapavat
*White-billed Diver* – a bird in non-breeding plumage off the harbour at Skigersta (1630-1700 at least) - drifted north out of sight but could not be found later.
[The Black Tern on Wed-Thurs 17-18 May: interest has been expressed by Rare Bird Alert (RBA) in the possibility of this being of the North American race surinamensis: mainly on the seemingly jet black underparts. Additional photos are being sent to them, and I will let you know the outcome].
