Barra
A decent arrival of migrants with many hundreds of Redwings around the island and obvious increases in Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Blackbird and Dunnock. A minimum of 12 Blackcaps were seen around the southern end of the island in the first couple of hours of daylight before seemingly going to ground. 13 Fieldfares were at Creachan at dawn before flying south. the Treecreeper also still present here. Our first Woodcock of the season was at Castlebay. A Mistle Thrush was reported at Bolnabodach. Pink-footed and Barnacle Geese and Whooper Swans were also on the move overhead.
