An unexpectedly busy seawatch from Brevig late afternoon. 8 Pomarine, 2 Arctic and 1 Great Skua, 1 Sooty Shearwater and c400 Kittiwakes south in half and hour. A Pink-footed Goose was at Borve. The flock of 10 Long-tailed Tits continued their tour of the southern part of the island, seen at Castlebay and Glen. There are still c2500 Redwings on the island and about 10 Blackcaps. A single Blackcap and Chiffchaff plus a Jack Snipe were on the beach at Caolas, Vatersay and the Velvet Scoter was still east of the causeway.
